Carl Radke was so confident in Ciara Miller’s Dancing With the Stars run that he booked a flight and hotel to watch his Summer House co-star compete in Los Angeles. His plans fell apart when Miller was eliminated before his scheduled trip.
Radke said the result left him disappointed and confused because he expected Miller and partner Brandon Armstrong to remain in the competition.
Carl Radke booked a trip to support Ciara Miller before her Dancing With the Stars elimination
Radke told DECIDER that he arranged his Los Angeles trip well in advance and planned to attend the October 13 show.
“I didn’t think she was going to get voted off,” he said.
The Summer House cast actively supported Miller during her four-week DWTS run. Radke recalled encouraging people to vote for her at the Virtual Reali-Tea Awards and said he even predicted she would win the competition.
“I rode for her as hard as I could and we tried to support Ciara as much as we could,” Radke said.
He also admitted that he did not completely understand how the voting process worked. Radke said he voted himself and even used a second phone while trying to help keep Miller in the competition.
Despite the unexpected Ciara Miller DWTS elimination, Radke praised his co-star’s progress. He said he believed she improved throughout her time on the show.
“I’m really proud of her,” he said. “I think she learned a lot and ultimately gained a lot from the experience.”
The timing made the elimination particularly frustrating for Radke. He had been telling people about his planned Los Angeles trip when he learned Miller would no longer be competing.
“I was trying to go out there to support, and it didn’t work,” he said.
Radke also expressed interest in eventually joining Dancing With the Stars himself. He said he loved dancing and would choose the ballroom competition over The Traitors if given the opportunity.
His unused trip may have been disappointing, but Radke made clear that he remained proud of Miller and the progress she made during her time in the competition.
