The father-daughter appearance took place Friday at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Jay-Z was celebrating the 30th anniversary of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt. He welcomed Blue Ivy to the stage during the concert’s opening night.

“Please put your hands together and make a heavenly noise for the multi-talented, the most incredible, Blue Ivy Carter,” Jay-Z told the crowd. She accompanied him on piano for “The Story of O.J.” and “Dead Presidents.” Afterwards, she hugged her proud father as the audience cheered.

The Blue Ivy piano performance was not the evening’s only surprise as reported by PageSix. Fans also supported Beyoncé alongside Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams in a VIP suite. The former bandmates danced and cheered while watching Jay-Z perform.

The trio rose to fame as Destiny’s Child in 1997 before disbanding in 2005. However, the singer have maintained their friendship over the years. Rowland and Williams previously joined Beyoncé onstage during her Los Angeles show on the Cowboy Carter tour in July 2025.

Blue Ivy has also become familiar with performing alongside her superstar mother. She appeared during Beyoncé’s Renaissance and Cowboy Carter tours. At Beyoncé’s opening Sofi Stadium show, she surprised fans by dancing to “America Has a Problem.”

Her younger sister, Rumi, also made an onstage appearance during the tour. Rumi joined Beyoncé for “Protector,” marking her performance debut. The family’s musical collaborations have continued attracting attention from fans.

Jay-Z previously defended his daughter’s decision to perform with her parents. In a March interview with GQ, he explained that Blue Ivy had worked hard to earn her place. He said she “fought” to participate in “almost every number.”

“That was amazing,” Jay-Z said, expressing pride in her determination. He explained that she worked to improve her dancing despite discussion surrounding her first performance. Her latest appearance alongside him offered another glimpse of their musical bond.
