The 2026 Soul Train Awards have two fan-voted categories: R&B/Soul Song of the Year and Spotify’s RNB X International Artist. Voting for Song of the Year is taking place on BET.com. Meanwhile, voting for International Artist is available through the Spotify app.
Bruno Mars‘ “I Just Might” and Justin Bieber’s “Yukon” are among the 10 nominees for the R&B/Soul Song of the Year award (Via Complex).
The two artists headline a fan-voted lineup that also features several major R&B releases from the past year.
BET executive Connie Orlando said, “We’re thrilled to put the vote in the fans’ hands for the first time. From the biggest songs of the year to the artists taking R&B global, these categories show how far the genre reaches right now. And we can’t wait to see where the votes land.”
According to Billboard, the fan-voted category nominees also include Brent Faiyaz’s “Butterflies,” Daniel Caesar’s “Who Knows,” and Kehlani’s “Folded.” The list also includes Tyla’s “Chanel,” Tems’ “What You Need,” Olivia Dean’s “Man I Need,” Chris Brown and Bryson Tiller’s “It Depends,” and Mariah the Scientist and Kali Uchis’ “Is It a Crime.” Tems is the only artist nominated in both categories.
The songs are listed in alphabetical order, and fans can vote every 24 hours. Voting began on October 5 and closes on October 16. Moreover, the winners will be announced at the Soul Train Awards, which are set to take place on November 27.
Host Anthony Anderson said, “Soul Train is more than a television show or an awards franchise. It’s a piece of our cultural history.”
