Recently, the musician spoke with The Hollywood Reporter, where he discussed NKOTB’s future, his favorite memories, and several other topics. Most notably, Donnie Wahlberg teased an emotional ending to New Kids on the Block’s Las Vegas residency.

Wahlberg said, “One can’t help but reflect on the fact that it’s been 40 years, and now we are in Vegas and doing that thing that we talked about back in the ’80s. And we’re still healthy, we’re still having fun, we still love performing for our fans, we still are blessed with the greatest fans ever, and it’s a very overwhelming experience.”

“What I will remember are the times backstage before we step onstage, being in the same place every night, in the same hallway, we gather every night in the same hallway with our team and the dancers and friends and family, and we all have a moment and have a little circle,” he said.

During the interview, Donnie Wahlberg also opened up about several other topics. He explained how, when they were teenagers, they used to say that they would go to Vegas one day when they got older, but they never envisioned actually getting older.
