Teresa Giudice Releases Statement After Milania Body Cam Footage Is Revealed

Teresa Giudice has asked the public to give her daughter Milania Giudice privacy. Her plea comes as the 20-year-old recovers from what she described as “significant psychological trauma.” Her statement comes after police body-camera footage from a tense incident involving Milania at Tampa International Airport was revealed.

Teresa addressed the situation in a lengthy Instagram story on Monday. “As a mother, there is nothing more important to me than the health, safety, and well-being of my children,” she wrote.

She described the past few months as “incredibly difficult” for the family. Teresa said Milania has faced “tremendous heartbreak and significant psychological trauma” after losing two of her best friends.

As a result, Teresa said she is focused on keeping Milania surrounded by “love, family, support, and the care she needs.” She also asked the public to show her daughter “compassion and kindness” and give her the privacy she needs to heal. “Milania is my daughter before she is anything else,” Teresa added.

Her statement follows the release of police body-camera footage from last week’s incident at Tampa International Airport. In the footage, Milania is seen recording Teresa and her sister, Gia Giudice. And Teresa tells her, “I want to save your life.” Gia also tells Milania that she wants to help her.

During the exchange, Teresa tells officers that Milania had fentanyl in her system during a recent incident. Milania responds that she was “laced.” However, the footage does not make clear what substance she allegedly took or when the incident occurred.

Officers also told Gia that the family had said Milania had recently been released from a facility following a Baker Act evaluation. They said the family had also hired a counselor to help her.

Previously, as per TMZ, police were reportedly told that Milania was experiencing “suicidal thoughts/mental breakdown” and had recently been released from St. Anthony’s Hospital.
