Travis Kelce was jokingly tapped for the White House fraud task force after being named among the scheme’s victims
Fox News reported in an X post that Travis Kelce was a victim of a massive Ponzi scheme. The scheme reportedly pulled in more than $35 million from investors. The White House then jokingly responded through its official X account and suggested that the NFL star join its efforts to combat fraud.
The account wrote, “This is why we do what we do. Seems like a good time to re-up the work of the White House Task Force to Eliminate Fraud: identifying fraud & protecting Americans.”
“Oh and it looks like the next draft pick to join the Task Force is @tkelce!” the White House added.
According to prosecutors, Siddharth Jawahar pleaded guilty to three counts of wire fraud. He spent money raised from investors through his company, Swiftarc Capital LLC, on personal expenses, including expensive hotels, private planes and parties. After pleading guilty to fraud, Jawahar received an 11-year prison sentence.
Travis Kelce, whose net worth reportedly stands at $90–100 million, has not revealed how much he invested in the scheme or how much he lost. The tight end has also not responded to the White House post. According to prosecutors, Jawahar defrauded 64 investors. However, apart from Kelce, no other major celebrity names have emerged in connection with the case.
