Katie Price‘s ex-husband Lee Andrews allegedly scammed businessman Nicholas Fiaschetti. Fiaschetti claimed Andrews left him without his life savings after he trusted him with a $200K investment.
Businessman Nicholas Fiaschetti claims Lee Andrews used their shared faith and values to gain his trust before a $200K investment
Businessman Nicholas Fiaschetti accused Katie Price’s ex of scamming him out of a $200K investment. Fiaschetti claimed that he invested his life savings of $200,000 (£149,239) into a business promoted by Andrews. Andrews allegedly gained Fiaschetti’s trust by sending proof that he came from a wealthy background.
Fiaschetti said, “Lee worked hard to earn my trust. He tapped into my belief system in God; he made me think we both had the same way of thinking, the same morals and values,” adding that the conversation “went on for a long time before any talk of investing came up.”
Fiaschetti also alleged that Andrews offered to double his money and provide a 20% profit on his investment.
According to The Sun, Fiaschetti said, “Lee would talk and talk at me, and you just start to believe it. Looking back, it makes me think of a psychopath – someone who has learned to mimic. Someone who can pretend to be happy and cheerful, but really they don’t feel that at all.”
He alleged that Andrews sent him details of a bank account containing $100m (£74.6m) and a picture of a sheikh holding another check to convince him that Andrews was trustworthy.
Andrews reportedly involved his father, Peter, who posed as an international lawyer to build credibility.
The businessman added, “He came on claiming he was an international lawyer and was backing up Lee’s version of events, saying that the funds were being held up. It was utter bulls**t.”
According to Metro, Fiaschetti has set up a GoFundMe account to recover his losses, adding that he has been sleeping in his car for months.
Andrews also allegedly made false claims about his finances to Katie Price. She revealed recently that Andrews is in jail over charges surrounding his crypto wallet. Price accused Andrews, saying he “scammed my heart.”
