Ava Dash has addressed romance rumors with Kyle Cooke.
The latter subject became a debated point ahead of the Next Gen NYC reunion.
Ava Dash addresses Georgia McCann’s comments about her friendship with Summer House star Kyle Cooke
According to Bravo TV, the topic came up in a trailer for the Next Gen NYC Season 2 reunion. It stemmed from a comment by cast member Georgia McCann, who put question marks on the Dash-Cooke equation.
“When you see huge age gaps, it’s for social gain or financial gain,” Georgia said in the preview.
Ava was quick with a stinging retort. In the trailer, she fired back, “This is coming from the girl f–king Omar for AC.”
The topic continues to resurface and gained the spotlight during Dash’s appearance on What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. Dash questioned why the relationship with Cooke was a hot talking point in the reunion.
“I just don’t know what Kyle has to do with Next Gen NYC,” Ava said. “So to me that doesn’t make a lot of sense, but OK.”
Cooke also stated that Georgia’s assessment of the relationship was overly simplistic.
“It was a pretty bold statement on behalf of Georgia. It’s like these are the only two reasons why there’s, you know, that big of a gap? And I was like, ‘Wow, okay,’” he said.
Cooke had also dismissed the rumors, saying that they were not romantically involved during a March appearance on Watch What Happens Live.
“That was a very friendly dinner,” he said. “We were at a family dinner doing a family blessing, holding hands, so I was holding her hand. It was just a random drinking day in New York.”
Commenting on their current status, Cooke told Bravo Insider, “Ava and I, you know, we’re friends.” He added, “Yes, we’ve had a little bit of a rendezvous at the Palm Tree Festival. Someone said we were kissing, and we were. But we were just friends.”
Regardless of speculation by fans, the reality stars have confirmed the non-romantic nature of their relationship.
