Chelsea Handler has a hilarious suggestion for Amy Poehler, joking that she should invite Mitch McConnell on her Good Hang podcast.
Poehler’s conversation with Robert De Niro about a “thirst trap” went viral after he appeared on her podcast. She asked De Niro, “Do you know what a thirst trap is?” to which De Niro responded, “No.”
She added, “So, it’s basically like hot pictures of people. But TikTok loves you, and they make videos of you in different movies. Can I show you one? It’s going to make you feel great. It’s usually s— music. Good job at being so handsome.”
De Niro, who was stunned while watching the TikTok, said, “Oh, well thanks.”
However, Chelsea Handler’s reaction to the Instagram reel caught viewers’ attention.
Handler joked, “This is so funny. If you can get De Niro talking, I think it’s time to reach out to Mitch McConnell.”
After a three-month absence from his Senate duties, McConnell returned to the Senate in a wheelchair on Monday. According to Ok! Magazine, he had been hospitalized following a fall and later spent time in rehabilitation.
While McConnell is back in the Senate, he will continue physical therapy.
Handler has always been a fan of De Niro. Earlier, during her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, she admitted her admiration. She said, “I’m very s——- attracted to Robert De Niro. I’m not gonna pretend that I’m not. I always have, and I would like to be p——— by him. I have a penchant for elderly men; I always date older. At some point I’ll have to stop, you know, because it’s going to get too old.”
It remains to be seen whether Poehler will take Handler’s suggestion.
