Lauren Boebert is known for her hard-right political style and often remains in the spotlight as a U.S. representative because of her controversial remarks. Now, she has made headlines again, this time for making a pointed suggestion about rowdy Democrats.
Lauren Boebert questions whether Democrats had ‘liquid courage’ after a late House session
According to TMZ, the congresswoman spoke with Jacob outside the Capitol on Tuesday night. During the conversation, Lauren Boebert questioned whether Democrats had “liquid courage” after a late House session.
According to the 39-year-old, late-night votes on Capitol Hill can get rowdy, and she believes Democrats are the ones bringing extra energy to the situation. At the same time, she also wondered whether they had some “liquid courage.
The Colorado congresswoman appeared in a much more casual outfit than usual, wearing an American flag sweater and pants while also carrying heels. A reporter asked Lauren Boebert about the atmosphere during the late-night voting session. The congresswoman said that members of her Freedom Caucus group are usually the rowdiest and jokingly added that sometimes they are “Holy Ghost Fire.”
On Tuesday night, the Republican Party member also said that the opposition party was making much more noise than usual, which made her wonder, “What are you under the influence of?” However, Lauren Boebert did not claim that Democrats were actually drinking alcohol or under the influence of anything. Still, her responses and expressions spoke for themselves.
For context, this is not the first time the politician has made a major statement without explicitly saying much. She has done something similar before. Remember the November 2021 elevator incident, when Lauren Boebert and Democratic Representative Ilhan Omar entered an elevator in the Capitol building.
During the incident, the congresswoman described how a police officer allegedly ran toward the elevator. Lauren Boebert made an even bigger statement about Omar, saying, “Well, she doesn’t have a backpack. We should be fine.”
