Former “Real Housewives of New York City” stars Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer, Dorinda Medley, and Kelly Bensimon are bringing their signature drama to Palm Beach in E!’s upcoming reality series The Golden Life. The trailer shows Luann and Sonja clashing as they navigate their love lives and relationships.
Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer, Dorinda Medley and Kelly Bensimon return to their old ways ahead of The Golden Life’s October premiere
The newly released trailer, first shared by E!, paints a story of life and drama. According to E! News, the show follows the former Housewives as they navigate friendships and dating while getting embroiled in family conflicts.
Luann, who describes her move as a fresh start, says, “I’m coming here to Palm Beach to regain my power.” Dorinda Medley also quips about turning to life’s next chapter. “You’ve done the wife thing, you’ve done the motherhood thing. But I’m really engaged, for the first time ever, in my life,” she says.
Though the group has bid goodbye to New York and travelled south, their antics have followed them. Ramona Singer is seen in tears when facing a tough face-off. “She’s lashing out. There’s something wrong here.” Later in the episode, she explodes, “Do not lie! I hate liars.”
The clash between longtime friends Luann and Sonja takes center stage. It appears to have entered rough waters as Sonja brings up Luann’s ex-husband, Tom D’Agostino.
When Sonja suggests that Tom “was just ready to marry anyone,” Luann responds sarcastically, “Oh thanks, Sonja. That’s really lovely of you,” before walking away.
“She loves to flirt with any man that is mine,” says Luann about Sonja. In fact, she is referring to how Sonja pursues the same men she likes. She goes on to say one of the memorable phrases in the show, “Those girls are man-hungry, sex-starved cougars.”
Apart from the conflicts, the trailer buzzes with the energy of parties, charity events, and plenty of flirtation. As Kelly Bensimon puts it, “Living your Golden Life means being the best version of you.”
“The Golden Life” premieres October 20 on E!, with additional appearances from Margaret Josephs and “Sex and the City” author Candace Bushnell planned for future episodes.
