Suki Waterhouse has decided how she would handle one possible future for her daughter with Robert Pattinson. The singer joked that if their little girl wants a career in entertainment, she will not pretend famous parents cannot help.
Suki Waterhouse jokes she’d ‘nepo-baby’ her and Robert Pattinson’s daughter
Waterhouse made the admission during a new NYLON interview while discussing motherhood, fame and the entertainment industry. The interviewer asked whether she would encourage her daughter to enter the same world. Waterhouse did not hesitate.
“Why would I advise against it? I’d be nepo-babying the hell out of her,” she joked.
Then she seemed to realize how blunt the answer sounded.
“Oh no. Why didn’t I just keep that inside?” Waterhouse added with a laugh.
The comment gives a playful twist to the “nepo baby” debate. Waterhouse and Robert Pattinson bring plenty of industry experience into their daughter’s life. Waterhouse built careers in modeling, acting, and music. Pattinson, meanwhile, became a star through Twilight before taking on The Batman.
Their daughter turned 2 in March and has started noticing what her parents do. Waterhouse previously revealed that the toddler can distinguish “mom the mom” from “mom the rockstar.”
She has picked up on Pattinson’s superhero job, too. Waterhouse recently shared that their daughter calls him “Daddy Batman” while he works on The Batman Part II.
Still, Waterhouse has kept details about her daughter private. She and Pattinson have not publicly shared the child’s name. Motherhood has changed how Waterhouse approaches her career. She told NYLON that she now turns down more work because she wants protected family time.
That shift echoes her earlier comments about how becoming a mother helped her rethink her identity and relationship. Family life influences her music as well. Waterhouse has said Pattinson inspired “Weirdo”, a track from Loveland.
For now, there is no sign their daughter is heading into show business.
But if that day comes, Waterhouse has joked that she knows how much help she is willing to provide.
