Lil Durk, known around the world for his drill music, has recently been making headlines for all the wrong reasons as he faces an alleged murder trial. Now, the rapper faces a pivotal moment as the jury takes over his case.
Lil Durk’s jury begins deliberations after closing arguments in his murder-for-hire trial
According to coverage from HotNewHipHop, the court heard arguments from both sides on Tuesday, after which the jury took over Lil Durk’s alleged murder-for-hire case. The jury will now carefully examine the five serious charges against the rapper before deciding whether he is guilty or not guilty.
Court reporter Meghann Cuniff reported that the murder-for-hire trial will begin at 8:30 a.m. PST in Los Angeles this morning. She shared the update in a post on X.
Cuniff wrote, “The jury in Durk’s murder-for-hire trial will begin deliberating tomorrow at 8:30 am in Los Angeles after hearing closing arguments all day today.”
Lil Durk faces five charges. They include conspiracy to commit stalking, stalking with a dangerous weapon, and stalking resulting in death. He also faces two charges related to using interstate commerce facilities in a murder-for-hire resulting in death.
For context, authorities arrested the 33-year-old in October 2024. They accused him of plotting and funding the 2022 attack on rapper Quando Rondo. Durk’s trial began on August 20, 2026, in a federal court in Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, according to prosecutors, the attackers carried out the attack to avenge the 2020 death of Durk’s friend, King Von.
The trial has been ongoing for the past few weeks, during which Flacka, OTF Jam, and OTF Vonni took the stand as witnesses. All three alleged that Lil Durk was the person who plotted and funded the murder-for-hire scheme targeting rapper Quando Rondo. In the end, Lul P’s life was lost in the incident.
