The Pussycat Dolls Make Dramatic Move After U.S. Tour Setback

The Pussycat Dolls slashed UK ticket prices after their planned U.S. comeback dates were canceled over disappointing sales. The move gave fans a cheaper way to catch the trio live.

The group’s PCD Forever Tour remained scheduled for Britain later this month, with shows planned across several major cities. However, the latest offer showed that the reunion still faced a few hurdles.

The Sun reported that Ticketmaster had offered four tickets for £150, including fees. That brought the price down to £37.50 per ticket for the limited-time group deal. Ticketmaster promoted the offer as a chance to see the group’s biggest hits and trademark choreography. “Don’t cha wish your group had tickets? The UK run was scheduled to begin at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena on September 29. Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt were then due in Nottingham, Leeds, Liverpool, Glasgow, Newcastle and Manchester. The tour was set to finish at London’s O2 on October 13. Ticketmaster listed nine UK shows, including Dublin.

The European leg followed a bruising North American setback. The PCD Forever Tour had originally been scheduled to launch June 5 in Palm Desert, California. However, the U.S. and Canadian dates were scrapped after weak ticket sales, despite prices being reduced to $30. Some venues reportedly still had up to 80% of seats available.

The cancellation also echoed the Dolls’ previous reunion troubles. They announced a five-member comeback in 2019 with Carmit Bachar and Jessica Sutta. COVID delayed those plans before a dispute involving Scherzinger and founder Robin Antin derailed them. The parties later reached a confidential settlement.

This time, the trio returned in March with their new single “Club Song.” The original lineup had also included Melody Thornton, alongside Scherzinger, Roberts, Wyatt, Bachar and Sutta. The group previously scored eight UK Top 10 hits, including No. 1 singles “Don’t Cha” and “Stickwitu.” Now, their UK shows remained the big test for this latest chapter.
