Jaime Pressly canceled a scheduled GalaxyCon appearance after witnesses claimed she had an unusual encounter at a San Jose hotel days earlier.
The My Name Is Earl star had been staying at the Signia by Hilton San Jose ahead of the convention. Witnesses claimed Pressly spent roughly 30 minutes speaking loudly on her phone in the lobby while drinking alcohol.

According to witnesses who spoke with TMZ, hotel security eventually escorted Pressly away following complaints about her behavior in the lobby. They alleged that she repeatedly used profanity and appeared under the influence. The source does not confirm that Pressly was intoxicated.
During the conversation, witnesses said they heard her make personal remarks, including, “Mommy loves you” and “You are the best husband I have ever divorced, and you are good to our kids.”
Someone eventually complained, prompting two security guards to approach her. Witnesses claimed Pressly initially continued her phone call and raised a finger toward the guards.
The hotel drama reportedly escalated after she ended the call. Witnesses alleged Pressly approached a woman attending a wedding, touched the hotel guest’s arm, and complained about security.
Pressly later stepped outside to smoke before returning about 10 minutes later. Witnesses claimed she came back holding hands with a valet employee and went to the bar for another drink.
Security eventually intervened again. One witness claimed a guard told Pressly to leave because she had put her hands on another guest, apparently referring to the wedding attendee. However, a source said that Pressly ultimately left on her own.
Sources familiar with the situation said Pressly had been dealing with family matters at the time and claimed those circumstances contributed to her behavior.
Pressly later canceled her planned GalaxyCon appearance. Her representative had not responded to the request for comment at the time of the report.
The Signia by Hilton San Jose also declined to discuss the incident.
“Given our privacy obligations, we are unable to provide any information,” a hotel spokesperson said.
