Kanye West made an unexpected courtroom appearance in Los Angeles as Lil Durk continued his federal murder-for-hire trial.
West’s visit came only days after Machine Gun Kelly also showed up to follow the proceedings. Both artists have professional ties to Durk, though neither appearance changes the allegations at the center of the case.

According to TMZ, West attended Thursday’s proceedings at the downtown Los Angeles courthouse and sat in the second row. He wore an all-black outfit with leather pants and initially entered in sunglasses before removing them after taking his seat.
The Kanye West court appearance followed MGK’s visit earlier in the week. Machine Gun Kelly watched Monday’s proceedings from an overflow room.
Both artists have worked with Durk in the past. MGK played guitar during Durk’s 2023 Amazon Music Live performance, while Durk appeared on several West projects, including Donda, VULTURES 1 and VULTURES 2.
The Lil Durk court case stems from his October 2024 arrest. Federal prosecutors allege that Durk sought revenge after the 2020 killing of his friend and fellow rapper King Von outside an Atlanta hookah lounge.
Prosecutors claim members of Durk’s crew later targeted rapper Quando Rondo in California in 2022. Rondo survived the attack, but his cousin, Lul Pab, died.
Durk has denied wrongdoing and remains in federal custody as the case proceeds.
West has also previously attended another high-profile federal trial. In 2025, he appeared at Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sex trafficking and racketeering proceedings in New York City.
His latest courthouse visit did not include a public statement about Durk’s case in the supplied source. The appearance instead placed West among the musicians who have shown up while the rapper’s federal trial continues.
