Hunter Biden has fired back at Rudy Giuliani after the latter threatened him with a defamation lawsuit.
The son of former POTUS Joe Biden did not back down and instead wrote a mocking post aimed to unsettle Giuliani.
Biden dared Rudy Giuliani to sue him after he threatened legal action
According to OK Magazine, the dispute stemmed from comments made in a recent interview involving Hunter Biden and Tucker Carlson. Giuliani has alleged that the discussion falsely portrayed him as acting on behalf of outside interests and threatened legal action.
Hunter replied with a long X post that noted that he had not mentioned Giuliani by name in the discussion.
He wrote, “The disgraced former mayor of New York, Rudy (I was just tucking in my shirt) Giuliani, has threatened to sue me for defamation over an interview in which I never said his name. No one even mentioned him.”
The remark referenced the time Giuliani had appeared in Borat Subsequent Moviefilm. The former mayor has defended himself saying that he was merely tucking in his shirt in a controversial hotel-room scene.
Hunter claimed that Giuliani had helped spread lies about him and his father through contacts in Ukraine. He named several individuals, including Andrii Derkach, Konstantin Kulyk, Andriy Telizhenko, and Oleksandr Dubinsky. He argued that Giuliani relied on sources later sanctioned by the U.S. government.
“Rudy, you worked with known Russian agents and their proxies to spread lies about me and my father,” Biden wrote.
He also pointed at sanctions imposed during the Trump administration. He claimed that the government officials already had knowledge that Giuliani’s sources were tied to Russian influence operations.
Biden concluded his message with a direct challenge: “So please, @RudyGiuliani. Please, please sue me. Discovery will be a joy for everyone.”
Giuliani served as New York City mayor from 1994 to 2001. He later became one of Donald Trump’s most prominent political allies.
