Dylan Sprouse reveals his wife, Barbara Palvin, had the wrong idea about his past for years. The 34-year-old actor said his wife thought he had a “history of drug addiction” because he smoked marijuana during his teenage years.

On the August 25 episode of his Wildmen podcast with Brendan Columbus, Sprouse explained, “My wife’s Hungarian and I’m up from out here, but I remember trying to explain to her that weed is pretty standard for people to smoke in California, but Hungarians think of it like black tar heroin.”
It led his wife, a Hungarian supermodel and official Victoria’s Secret Angel since March 2019, to wonder about Sprouse’s health. The actor said, “She for years was like, ‘So you’ve smoked for a while?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, probably from like the age of like 16 to 18’. So she’s like, ‘So you have a history of drug addiction.’ And I was like, ‘Well, no, but I guess by your standards I do.’”
The couple first crossed paths at a Harper’s Bazaar Icons party in 2017. They reconnected through social media and officially began dating in 2018. The Suite Life of Zack & Cody star told W Magazine in 2019, “I slid into her DMs.” “I was like, ‘Hey, I don’t know if you’re in New York for very long, but we should hang out if you want to. Here’s my number.’ And she didn’t message me for six months,” he added.
Sprouse and Palvin tied the knot in Hungary in 2023. The couple revealed in May that they are expecting their first baby together on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival. They shared their pregnancy news on Instagram. In July, they shared on the Wildmen podcast that they are expecting a baby girl.
