While discussing the case on Crime Stories with Nancy Grace, the host said, “I want you to look at this video of Jamie Lee Komoroski speaking to the police, demanding, demanding, demanding, even talking about her allergy problem.”
In the newly released videos, Komoroski repeatedly asked to call her father. She can be heard saying, “I don’t know about you guys, but my allergies have been so bad. This pollen has been killing me.” At one point, Komoroski casually asked officers which cereal they liked best. She was 25 at the time and is now 27.
Grace highlighted the heartbreaking circumstances surrounding the newlywed’s death, noting that she was still wearing her wedding dress when she was killed. She then criticized Komoroski’s behavior, calling her a “sobbing, sniveling, snotting, brat killer” caught whining on video.
Komoroski was convicted in connection with a DUI crash that killed newlywed Samantha Miller and injured her husband, Aric Hutchinson. The fatal crash occurred on April 28, 2023, on the 1200 block of East Ashley Avenue in Folly Beach, South Carolina.
Police said Komoroski was driving under the influence when she slammed into the back of the newlyweds’ golf cart. Komoroski, who was going 65 mph in a 25 mph zone at the time of the crash, pleaded guilty before her trial was set to begin. She was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
