Travis Kelce has been training at Kansas City Chiefs camp in St. Joseph, Missouri, where the couple has reportedly been staying. The couple is reportedly exploring properties in Montecito as they consider settling there.
According to the Daily Mail, a source said, “They don’t want it to feel like it’s Travis’s house that Taylor moved into. They want a place that’s theirs from day one. This is their fresh start.”
“They’re not building Taylor’s life or Travis’s life anymore. They’re building one life – together. They’ve done the long-distance thing, and it was hard. Now they’re married, Taylor’s going to be where Travis is. That’s home,” the source said.
A source also noted that Swift has flexibility to work on her music as she is not specifically tied to LA or New York.
The source added, “They want to wake up together, have dinner together and build a real home – not just squeeze in visits between schedules. I think Montecito might be a nice place to settle down. They love how private it is and secluded.”
Meanwhile, Montecito is already home to celebrities like Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and Oprah Winfrey. An insider shared that the couple will keep Swift’s New York home while searching for Montecito listings online.
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift married in July. However, the newlyweds were later spotted at Kelce’s teammate JuJu Smith-Schuster’s wedding. Kelce is returning for his 14th season with Kansas City in the NFL, with the first game on August 15.
Despite the reports, the couple has not confirmed their move to the new town.
