Gina Kirschenheiter Makes Her Prenup Stance Clear Before Marrying Travis Mullen

Gina Kirschenheiter shared why she supports prenuptial agreements while discussing her future with fiancé Travis Mullen. The Real Housewives of Orange County star says a prenup can be used to plan for the financial future of couples. Gina said it wasn’t an indication of a lack of trust or love. She also revealed that she and Travis are not rushing their wedding plans.

RHOC star Gina Kirschenheiter revealed why she believes a prenup is important before a wedding

Gina told Us Weekly on Thursday, August 6, that she is “for” prenups and believes everyone should consider one. A prenuptial agreement can provide financial security and take some stress out of a marriage breakdown, she said. “I think it is smart,” she said. Gina added that it can take away some of the messiness that comes with divorce.

The RHOC star said protecting assets should not feel like a negative step in a relationship. In my opinion, if you like that person now, then you should do that,” she said to Us. Gina said that a prenup isn’t just for divorce; it’s also for financial planning. She also pointed out that they have a business together, which would need to be protected in case their relationship changes.

Gina also explained that life can change unexpectedly and that’s why she supports financial planning. “God forbid something happens to myself or Travis. I want to know what that looks like too,” she said. Gina and Travis, 40, both have three children from previous relationships. After Gina began dating Travis in 2019, they formed a blended family.

Travis proposed to Gina on New Year’s Eve in December of 2025 after over six years together. However, Gina said the couple has not chosen a wedding date yet and she is not rushing the process. She wants their six children to play a big part in the ceremony. Gina also said she plans to focus on her kids and building her business right now.

Gina said she’d have her RHOC castmates come to her wedding since they are her real friends. She is not sure whether she would permit cameras at the ceremony. Gina also talked about her going with Travis’ last name and is considering a hyphenated name. “I would probably hyphen my name,” she said, adding that she wants to honor both families.
