Kyle Richards says she and Mauricio Umansky get along great these days. The two still take family trips together three years after their split.

Kyle and Mauricio Umansky remain separated but continue spending family time together
Kyle Richards is opening up about her relationship with Mauricio Umansky nearly three years on from their separation. She spoke to Bravo Insider on August 5 ahead of the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip Season 6 premiere, and the picture she painted was a warm one.
“We get along great,” the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills mom of four said. “We still went to Aspen with our daughters for the Fourth of July.”
Family news has given them something to share, too. Her oldest daughter, Farrah Brittany Aldjufrie, is expecting her first child, making Kyle and Mauricio first-time grandparents. “We’re both really excited about the baby that’s coming,” she added. “Yeah, it’s so much fun.”
Not every shared development landed so easily. Their daughter Alexia Umansky is joining her father on Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test Season 5. Both work as real estate agents at The Agency and currently work together. Kyle admitted she was unhappy when she learned they were leaving to film with no contact with her.
“My first thought was, ‘Mauricio, I’m going to kill you,'” she recalled in a clip posted to Instagram. “I was actually not happy at all. I was so worried about Alexia. I knew that he would do well and whatever, but I was really worried about my daughter, and I didn’t like that she got sucked into that. But she was so excited to do it. She’s the most adventurous like that, like him, where my other girls are more scared and nervous types like me. So I had a lot of sleepless nights, I have to tell you.”
The RHOBH star has also been candid about the shape of the separation itself. On a March 30 appearance on The Bosssticks podcast, she said the two are not legally separated, do not live together and have not filed any paperwork.
“Every separation is different. Every divorce is different. Every relationship is different,” she explained. “And you know, this is just working for us so far. And I say so far because we’re not going to stay in this gray area.”
