Tomi Lahren criticized GOP leaders and their supporters for maintaining silence over Mitch McConnell’s mysterious health concerns. She called out Republicans over McConnell’s absence from his Senate duties.
Tomi Lahren said McConnell should “do the right thing” and step aside as questions continue over his health
Tomi Lahren showed her support for Democratic Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear over McConnell’s health concerns. She criticized Republicans for remaining silent about McConnell during her show Tomi Lahren Is Fearless alongside guest host Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.).
She said, “I don’t like the fact that I’m like, ‘Oh, I kind of agree with Governor Andy Beshear on this,’ but I think it’s the authentic and transparent thing to do.”
She also said that the senator should step aside from his duties. The TV host said the senator “needs to do the right thing and step aside.”
She questioned Republicans for demanding health transparency from Joe Biden while remaining silent about McConnell. She said, “We’ve got Mitch McConnell having to send proof-of-life photos with his wife. How can some of these same people who talked about Joe Biden, Joe Biden, Joe Biden, Joe Biden, not say anything about the fact that we’ve got Mitch McConnell having to send proof of life photos with his wife? Tim… that should rub everybody the wrong way.”
According to Ok! Magazine, Andy Beshear wrote a formal letter demanding that Mitch McConnell provide proof that he is capable of serving in the Senate.
Lahren agreed to Beshear’s stance, saying, “I feel like Republicans not calling out what’s currently happening is a dereliction of duty. If you’re part of the machine, you’re going to be protected.”
The 84-year-old senator has not been in the public eye since he was hospitalized two months ago. He shared pictures with his wife on social media, addressing the rumors of his death. Since then, many public figures have criticized his absence from the Senate.
