Ferguson could receive financial support following McNally’s death, although the details of his estate haven’t been made public. As reported by the Daily Mail, the two had kept in touch throughout their lives.
McNally died at 88 with only a son left to continue his line. Due to their close relationship, he may have left Fergie an annual allowance. According to Dampier, McNally knew of Fergie’s compulsive spending and wouldn’t have arranged for a lump sum disbursal of his wealth.
The news comes at a crucial time in Ferguson’s life. The Duchess of York is reportedly still reeling from her proven association with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Her ex-husband, ex-Prince Andrew, was arrested in February on suspicion of divulging confidential travel information to Epstein in the early 2010s.
Ferguson and Andrew had their royal titles taken away by King Charles. They also lost their residence, the Royal Lodge, after their scandal. Both have been lying low in the aftermath of the revelations. Lampier, however, believes that Ferguson will try to get back to royal graces after coming to wealth. ‘It’s quite extraordinary how Sarah Ferguson bounces back time and time again,’ he told the Daily Mail.
Reportedly, Ferguson had spent her exile of sorts with McNally, and now may be able to end her financial troubles with the inherited allowance. “Sarah will want to try and get back in with the King for the sake of her daughters,” the expert said. He said of McNally, ‘He was said to be worth £600million and I’m sure he would have left her a substantial sum as they always remained close and were best friends.”
The expert, whose first-ever royal assignment was to cover Ferguson and Andrew’s marriage, thinks that Ferguson may still have another comeback ahead of her. He believes that she may be due for another grand comeback.
