Liam Payne’s Ex Eyes Major Comeback After Years Out of the Spotlight — Source

Cheryl could soon return to center stage after years of keeping her personal life out of the public eye. Fresh reports claim Liam Payne’s ex is considering a documentary that would revisit her career, relationships, and life beyond fame.

The project is still in early development. Even so, it has already sparked plenty of excitement among fans.

Cheryl could return to the spotlight with a documentary covering her career and personal life

According to The Sun, Cheryl is in talks to create a documentary about her remarkable journey. The reported film would trace her rise from Popstars: The Rivals to Girls Aloud, her solo success, and her years as an X Factor judge.

It would also explore the personal moments that shaped her life. That reportedly includes her marriages and her relationship with Liam Payne, with whom she shares son, Bear.

“Cheryl is incredibly picky about what she chooses to do these days and spends a lot of time on motherhood, but she feels like she has a story to tell,” an insider told The Sun.

The source also claimed several streaming platforms could compete for the project.

“The doc could create a bidding war between all of the big streamers — Netflix, Amazon Prime and Apple,” the insider added. “She would also have creative control over the project.”

Cheryl has largely stepped away from the spotlight in recent years. She focused on raising Bear and made only selective public appearances. Following Liam Payne’s death, she kept an especially low profile while continuing to prioritize motherhood.

The singer briefly returned to performing during the 2024 Girls Aloud reunion tour, which celebrated the legacy of late bandmate Sarah Harding.

If the documentary moves ahead, it would also mark Cheryl’s first major television project centered entirely on her own story. She previously admitted she regretted being so open in her 2012 documentary, Access All Areas.

“I literally had a friend of mine filming so that I would not feel like I had a camera crew in my way and at times forgot myself,” Cheryl previously said. “I have since regretted this decision. The number of times I cringed watching it.”

The reported project also came after hackers briefly uploaded fake songs to Cheryl’s streaming accounts earlier this year, confusing fans hoping for new music.
