Boosie Badazz faces an assault lawsuit after a nightclub bouncer accused him of attacking him. The bouncer alleged the rapper struck him with a broken glass hookah during a May altercation. Boosie previously faced criminal charges connected to the same incident and maintained his innocence.

According to the lawsuit reported by Law Commentary, Edward Iglehart was working security at a Houston nightclub in May. He reportedly became involved in an altercation involving a woman identified as Boosie’s niece. The complaint alleged she had become “visibly intoxicated” and attempted to enter the venue after closing.
Iglehart’s attorneys claimed he denied her entry and directed her toward another senior officer. The lawsuit alleged she became combative and struck him during the confrontation. Iglehart reportedly took hold of her arm while attempting to move her away from the area.
According to the complaint, the woman lost her footing and fell to the ground. Iglehart reportedly bent down to help her get back up. The lawsuit alleged that Boosie then attacked him without a warning. They said the bouncer was “violently ambushed” while trying to assist the woman.
The civil lawsuit followed a felony aggravated assault charge filed against Boosie. Houston police reportedly accused him of attacking Iglehart after his niece was denied access to the closed business. Boosie was released on an $85,000 bond following his arrest.
The rapper has publicly maintained his innocence and previously described the charges as a shakedown attempt. The nightclub was also accused of negligence for allegedly continuing to serve alcohol to Boosie and his party. The lawsuit claimed the venue failed to address the alleged intoxication.
Boosie was also serving a three-year probation term connected to a federal gun possession case. Prosecutors reportedly recommended revoking his probation following the new allegations. He was also separately suing lobbyists over an alleged failed attempt to secure a presidential pardon. The civil case remained ongoing as Boosie faced multiple legal battles.
