Major twist in Stefon Diggs‘ case as a federal judge orders his accuser, Christopher Griffith, to hand over the private Instagram direct messages. This latest development may score the NFL player a key legal victory in their high-profile court battle.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Griffith now has 14 days to produce his entire Instagram DM history with Diggs in the civil court.

Christopher Griffith, the man accusing Stefon Diggs of sexual assault, will now have to present their DM history, along with all records tied to his May 20-23, 2023 travel to and from Maryland. It was the weekend Griffith alleges the assault took place.
The court has ordered Griffith to include all the messages containing flight arrangements, hotel bookings, luggage records, and ride-share receipts. The order also requires the influencer to turn over any additional text exchanges he had with Diggs, as well as conversations he had with others about Diggs.
Additionally, the judge denied a separate request from Stefon’s legal team seeking sanctions against Griffith as part of the same filing.
The latest development follows months of escalating legal drama. The NFL player originally sued Griffith for defamation, arguing he fabricated a story about an encounter in May 2023. The influencer then countersued, alleging Cardi B’s ex drugged and sexually assaulted him during that encounter.
Christopher has claimed in recent filings that he has already turned over more than 100 pages of communications with Stefon during discovery, including Instagram DMs. This led the Diggs’ legal team to argue that the accuser hadn’t produced the full message history. However, Griffith maintained Stefon already had access to those messages himself.
The court has not yet ruled on either side’s underlying allegations, and the case remains ongoing.
