Kelly Ripa missed another episode of the Live with Kelly and Mark show. Mark Consuelos shared an update on her recovery while he hosts the show with guest co-host Kevin Jonas.

Mark Consuelos co-hosted with Kevin Jonas for the second time after revealing Kelly Ripa had undergone gum graft surgery.
Ripa continues to miss episodes while she is recovering from her painful dental procedure. On Tuesday, her husband and co-host announced, “Back today, filling in for Kelly is Kevin Jonas.” Consuelos announced that Jonas would join him again for co-hosting.
Consuelos shared details about Ripa’s recovery and her life at home. She is reportedly feeling better and has been trying to say certain words. Consuelos said, “She’s feeling better. She’s saying certain things.”
Jonas noted that Consuelos shared she cannot talk in the previous episode where he revealed her surgery. Mark first revealed her gum graft surgery, which is a planned dental procedure, and said that she has a long list of instructions to follow for her recovery. Despite the discomfort, he assured viewers that Ripa is recovering well.
Consuelos replied, “I don’t think so, But, she’s doing it without moving her bottom lip. There’s a list of things that you’re not allowed to do: Talking, talking, talking! She has to eat soft food, can’t suck out of a straw, you can’t examine it, which means pulling down the lip. Last night, she was like, ‘Can you look!’”
He also revealed that she is known for not feeling pain, but this surgery is painful for her.
Due to the gum graft surgery, Ripa has skipped two back-to-back episodes of the show. According to PEOPLE, a representative for Live with Kelly and Mark said Ripa is expected to be away from the show for about a week while recovering.
The publication also reported that guest co-hosts, including Kevin Jonas, Mila Kunis, Pamela Adlon, and Scott Foley, are scheduled to appear during her absence.
