According to TMZ, Diddy has been thrown into solitary confinement after being in a fight with an inmate that quickly escalated. Multiple sources have reported that Combs did not back away from the confrontation. The fight started with a scuffle at the FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey. Reports say that the mentioned inmate dissed the rapper, causing him to retaliate.
Things got serious after that, and the two started pushing each other. The brawl was quickly squashed by the prison staff, who separated the two men. Reportedly, Diddy was immediately moved into solitary confinement. In the latest news, Diddy’s situation remains the same, though it is unclear whether he will face long-term consequences.
According to the current state of matters, Diddy is to be released in February 2028. However, the release is pursuant to earning credits for good behavior. The alleged fight may have the potential for an administrative rethink on his case.
An FCI rep told TMZ that they “are not at liberty to disclose or provide internal information pertaining to any inmate in our custody. Such information would not be available for the public domain.” They also said that they cannot comment on “disciplinary matters, or other information regarding individual inmates due to privacy, safety, and security concerns.”
Sean “Diddy” Combs was convicted in July 2026 on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution under the federal Mann Act. However, the jury acquitted him of the more serious charges. He has been cleared of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.
He remains in custody awaiting sentencing, while prosecutors continue to seek a substantial prison term.
