Kate Middleton Was Told to ‘Shut Up a Bit More’ by This Royal — Source

Kate Middleton has earned a reputation as one of the royal family’s most accomplished public figures, but a new report claims Queen Elizabeth II gave her some memorable advice early in her royal journey. According to palace insiders, the late monarch encouraged the Princess of Wales to keep her conversations with members of the public shorter so she could include more people during royal engagements.

Queen Elizabeth gave Kate Middleton a practical advice, claims source

Kate joined the royal family after marrying Prince William in 2011. She has since become one of the monarchy’s most recognizable working royals. She built a reputation for her composed and approachable style, whether attending Trooping the Colour, representing the Crown overseas, or greeting crowds during walkabouts.

However, insiders told RadarOnline.com that she needed time to adjust to the pace of royal engagements. They said Queen Elizabeth II offered practical advice to help her navigate those early public appearances.

One palace source claimed the late Queen believed every person deserved attention. At the same time, she also understood the importance of keeping engagements moving. “Queen Elizabeth always believed every member of the public deserved attention, but she also knew hundreds of people could be waiting,” the insider alleged. “Kate’s natural warmth sometimes meant conversations lasted much longer than scheduled, so she was encouraged to keep moving.”

“It wasn’t criticism—it was practical advice to essentially ‘shut up a bit more’ from someone who had perfected the role. Basically, Kate gabbed too much when she first joined the royals,” the insider claimed.

Another royal source reportedly explained that the message was never about making Kate less friendly. Instead, it was to ensure she could meet as many people as possible during public appearances. “There was never any suggestion that Kate should become less friendly,” the insider said. “The message was simply that a royal walkabout is carefully timed. If you spend too long with one person, dozens of others miss out. It became one of the first lessons she learned after joining the family.”
