Married to Medicine’s Colin Dias Fires Back at Lia Jones’ Murder Plot Allegations

A legal battle between Married to Medicine: Los Angeles personalities Colin Dias and his ex-wife, Lia Jones, has intensified after Jones accused her former husband of attempting to recruit someone to kill her.

Dias’s attorney, Robert Eisfelder, has denied the allegations, arguing that Jones’s claims ignore the former couple’s long-running legal dispute.

According to TMZ, the allegations surfaced after Jones sought legal protection against Dias, saying she feared for her safety. Eisfelder has denied Jones’s claims that Dias attempted to recruit someone to kill his ex-wife.

Jones alleged that Dias asked a neighbor, “What would it cost to get rid of her?” She also claimed he discussed firearms and was trying to have her murdered. Dias’s attorney denied the allegations, noting that the court had previously granted his client sole custody of the former couple’s children. He added that the children continue to “thrive” under the current custody arrangement. Eisfelder also said Jones is attempting to challenge that ruling at a July 28 hearing.

Eisfelder also referenced a declaration Jones filed in April 2026 in connection with the upcoming hearing. Meanwhile, Dias has alleged that he was repeatedly subjected to domestic violence during their marriage. He claimed Jones punched him in the stomach with a closed fist in May 2021 while he was recovering from surgery. He also alleged that she told him, “I wish you would die.”

Dias further claimed that Jones’s alleged assaults resulted in a domestic violence restraining order against her in November 2021. It was followed by a criminal protective order in April 2022. He also alleged that Jones was arrested in August 2022 for violating that order.

Jones, however, maintained that her fears are genuine. She told TMZ, “What I and my family have gone through since being made aware of the very serious situation of my life and safety being compromised has been extremely challenging and caused so much distress.”

The couple finalized their divorce in 2023. Jones is reportedly seeking to overturn the current custody arrangement. According to the report, she has completed a 52-week domestic violence program, along with parenting, anger management, and therapy courses.
