Priyanka Chopra made an appearance on the Jonas Brothers’ podcast Hey Jonas, where she revealed the beginning of their love story. Nick recalled sending Priyanka a DM on Twitter before the two eventually got married. The couple shares a daughter, Malti Marie.
The Quantico star and singer’s first chat happened after Kevin Jonas asked Nick whether he had watched her show. Nick ended up searching for her, which prompted him to send his first DM to a Bollywood star.
Nick said, “Well, to rewind to the story, the important story says, ‘Have you seen the show, Quantico?” And I said, “I have not.” And then as he’s talking about it, I look up on Sunset Boulevard, and there’s a billboard of your face. And so then I go to Twitter, and I’m like, “I wonder if she follows me.” Which you did. What?.”
They pulled out the DM that started their love story. Nick’s message read, “Hello, I have heard from a few people that we should meet. I have to agree with these people. Are you in LA anytime soon?”
Chopra replied, “Hey, Graham’s told me so much about you. Let’s text more privately. My team can access this.”
The actress shared that Nick asked her for a time-stamped photo to confirm that it was really her, to which she appreciated it, as he was cautious. Soon after their first exchange, they began dating about two and a half months.
The Jonas Brothers also spoke about their visit to India for the couple’s wedding. They got married in 2018 in a multi-day wedding celebration in India, according to Daily Jang. The podcast offered fans a glimpse into their relationship, a reminder that a simple message can change someone’s life.
