Lionsgate has announced the digital release date for Power Ballad. This comes nearly a month after the Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas-led musical comedy movie debuted in theaters.
“When Rick, a past-his-prime wedding singer, meets fading boy-band star Danny during a gig, the two bond over music and a late-night jam session,” read the movie’s official synopsis. “But when Danny turns one of Rick’s songs into the hit that reignites his career, Rick sets out to reclaim the recognition he believes he deserves – even if it means risking everything he cares about. The film is a feel-good story about music, self-respect, friendship, and the price of ambition.”

Power Ballad will be available to rent or own on Premium Digital and Premium Video on Demand starting tomorrow, June 23. Following its theatrical release, the movie received a Fresh score of 87% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 168 reviews. In the 2026 film, Rudd plays a wedding singer who learns that his original song was stolen by a famous rock star after it became an instant hit. The cast also includes Peter McDonald, Marcella Plunkett, Havana Rose Liu, Jack Reynor, Rory Keenan, Keith McErlean, Paul Reid, Beth Fallon, and more.
