Trigger Warning: Suicide

Eminem’s ex-wife, Kim Scott, is recovering in McLaren Macomb Hospital after being rushed there due to a medical emergency on Saturday, July 11. However, reports state that Scott became unconscious or fainted due to an alleged suicide attempt based on 911 dispatch audio obtained by TMZ.

Kim Scott is reportedly receiving medical care after an apparent suicide attempt led to hospitalization

The mother of Eminem‘s only daughter is undergoing medical treatment following an apparent suicide attempt on Saturday. She was taken to the hospital after a 911 dispatch call was placed from Scott’s Chesterfield Township home.

According to TMZ, a Chesterfield Fire/EMS report showed that the initial call was made around 8 PM for someone described as “Unconscious /Fainting.” The audio started with a dispatcher directing first responders to the address for a reported suicide attempt. The caller, identified as Scott’s nephew, told dispatchers his aunt had cut her wrist with a knife.

Footage obtained by TMZ showed Scott being wheeled out of her home on a gurney and taken in an ambulance soon after the police and Emergency Service personnel responded to the emergency. Further details on her condition or ongoing care have not been made public.

The hospitalisation comes amidst a difficult time for Kim. She has been battling with legal issues in two separate cases of drunk driving in recent months. Rapper’s 51-year-old ex has also struggled with severe mental health issues and substance abuse, and has attempted suicide on multiple occasions in the past as well.

Kim Scott and Eminem were married twice, first in 1999 and again in 2006, with both unions ending in divorce. The two have three children together.
