Hunter Doohan is grateful for the life he has created with his husband, Fielder Jewett. The actor recently reflected on love, marriage and living openly in Hollywood. He also shared why he never wanted to hide his identity. Doohan said he gets a lot of help at home that makes everything he does in his career fun.
The actor opens up about living authentically while navigating his breakout horror and streaming roles
Doohan discussed his personal life while promoting his upcoming film Evil Dead Burn, which is the sixth installment in the Evil Dead franchise. He said he can’t think of any way he’d want to live without being his true self because it would feel awful. For Doohan, it is more important to inspire others to live honestly than to have occasional negative experiences.. He called that opportunity a real blessing.
Doohan married producer Fielder Jewett in June 2022 after the couple first met on Tinder. In December 2020, he announced their engagement. Doohan’s co-star Bryan Cranston officiated their wedding ceremony. The actor claimed Jewett has been his friend since the beginning of his career, long before the arrival of his biggest roles.
Doohan said he used to be excited with Jewett when he auditioned for short films. Today, Jewett continues to stand beside him as his career reaches new heights. The Wednesday star also praised his close group of friends in Los Angeles. After years of traveling for work, he said those friendships finally gave him a sense of balance.
During an appearance on the Keep It podcast, Hunter Doohan shared his thoughts on his relationship . He described Jewett as someone who loves learning and enjoys reading, movies and trivia. Doohan joked that he happily watches his husband win trivia nights because of his impressive knowledge.
