Charlie Sheen was dragged to court by ex-wife Brooke Mueller in December last year over child support claims. Mueller claimed that Sheen had not fully paid child support expenses for their twin sons, Max and Bob, 17.
A judge ordered Charlie Sheen to pay Brooke Mueller $500,000 in back child support
Mueller had claimed that her ex initially paid child support in full in the first year to the tune of $55,000 a month back in 2010. However, in 2011, his behaviour changed, and she began receiving partial payments, and sometimes, nothing at all.
According to information gained by the U.S. Sun, Sheen had argued that there were periods of time during the year that the boys were in his custody, and that should be considered. Sheen was also asked to pay $60k for Mueller’s attorney fees.
The judge proclaimed, “The parties acknowledge that they have exchanged and reviewed their positions and calculations concerning the claimed arrearages, credits, and interest,” before adding that Brooke and Charlie had reached this final agreement in their judgment.
The couple has shared custody of their sons at Charlie’s residence. However, the arrangement may be changed within 48 hours if Mueller fails a drug test. Mueller has been candid about her struggles with addiction and has spent considerable time in and out of rehab.
Sheen, who has been sober since 2017, once said in 2023 that he has been doing “single dad stuff,” saying, “I’ve mostly been raising my 14-year-old boys,” adding, “Their mom has been trying to figure some stuff out on her end, so she’s not in the picture too much right now.” He also described his sons as “cool, really smart, and really funny.”
Sheen and Mueller were married from 2008 to 2011. He has now been ordered to pay his ex, Brooke Mueller, $500,000 in back child support after she demanded $15 million in their divorce war.
Sheen also shares daughters Sami and Lola with his first ex-wife, Denise Richards, apart from Cassandra Jade Estevez with his ex-girlfriend Paula Speert.
