Marcellus Wiley Faced $500K Loan Lawsuit Before Domestic Battery Arrest and Rape Allegations

Trigger Warning: This article includes discussion of alleged sexual assault, with details.

Marcellus Wiley got sued by a bank over an allegedly unpaid $500,000 loan. The update comes amid ‘RHOBH’ alum Annemarie Wiley’s allegation in her divorce filing that her husband raped her multiple times.

A bank alleges Marcellus Wiley defaulted on a $500k loan months before his arrest and his wife’s rape allegations

A lawsuit filed in December 2025 claims that Marcellus and his company, Dat Dude Entertainment, borrowed money from Preferred Bank in May 2023 and agreed to repay the loan within 12 months, reports TMZ. The bank alleges that it has not received repayment of the loan or any accrued interest owed, despite granting Marcellus multiple extensions, with the final deadline extended to December 2025.

The ex-NFL player and SportsNation co-host was arrested on a domestic battery charge in Orange County, Florida, on July 4 after his wife claimed that he became violent and threatened to kill her in their hotel room, as per Yahoo Sports. She alleged that Marcellus assaulted her on separate occasions, including an incident where he threw a bottle at her head while she was nine months pregnant, raped her in 2012, and punched her in the face in 2014.

However, jail records show that he was released from Orange County Jail on July 5 after posting a $1,000 bond. The court issued a no-contact order barring him from being within 500 feet of Annemarie, who has filed for divorce and is seeking custody of their children and possession of the couple’s Los Angeles residence. The two married in 2024 and share three children.

Marcellus also publicly responded to the allegations on July 7, calling them “lies.” In a statement shared on X, he wrote, “I love my children with everything I am. My highest priority has always been protecting them and preserving the relationship they have with both of their parents. Because of the public allegations made against me by Annemarie, I have been forced to respond with evidence rather than emotion.”

He stated, “I must address the lies Annemarie has told about me by telling the truth about her and our marriage. Over the years, I have compiled videos, photographs, text messages, emails, and other evidence that directly contradict those baseless claims.” And further added that he never wanted his family’s issues and struggles to become public, including as a means of gaining leverage in the divorce.
