Meghan Markle is seemingly letting her brand do the talking. A new report claims the Duchess of Sussex shared a pointed message with customers as Prince Harry returned to the U.K. for a high-profile visit. According to some individuals, the timing was hard to ignore. Some observers believe the newsletter subtly pushed back against recent questions surrounding her brand.
What Meghan Markle’s latest As Ever message reportedly reveals
According to reports, Meghan Markle sent a new newsletter to customers of her lifestyle brand, As Ever, on Tuesday evening. The email was reportedly sent just as Prince Harry completed the first official day of his visit to the U.K. While the newsletter promoted one of the brand’s products, its opening line has sparked fresh discussion.
The message focused on As Ever’s raspberry spread. However, it began with a remark that some observers viewed as significant. “Some things never stay on the shelf for long,” the newsletter read. It then described the raspberry spread as a favorite for breakfast, desserts, and cheese boards. Customers were also encouraged to keep a jar nearby for “the everyday moments that deserve something a little extra.”
As per Express U.K.’s report, some royal watchers interpreted that opening remark as more than just a product pitch. Instead, many viewed it as a possible response to recent criticism surrounding As Ever’s sales and inventory.
Markle launched As Ever in 2025. Since then, the brand has expanded beyond fruit spreads. Its collection now includes flower sprinkles, teas, baking mixes, candles, and wine. Even so, the business has continued to face scrutiny as the release of the official sales figures is yet to happen. However, reports previously claimed the website experienced strong growth after launch. More recently, other reports suggested traffic had slowed.
According to Newsweek, citing data from Similarweb, the As Ever website attracted around 392,000 U.S. visitors between January and May. That came after a website glitch allegedly revealed inventory of more than 650,000 products. Those figures led some commentators to question the gap between supply and customer demand, although no official explanation has been provided by the company.
Meanwhile, Harry’s return to Britain has generated headlines of its own. Markle reportedly was to join him during the five-day trip. However, as of now, she has not traveled to London after security concerns were allegedly raised. It remains unclear whether she will join him later in the visit.
