Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte and former Playboy model Kayla Rae Reid are officially divorced. The pair, who got married in 2018, parted ways in June 2025 after seven years together and three children.

Reid announced the news on Instagram, sharing a photo of herself in a yellow dress. The 34-year-old wrote, “As of July 1st 2026, 9:59 am, I am officially divorced.” She also included the viral photo of Nicole Kidman in the second slide, showing the actress raising her arms in celebration after her 2001 split from Tom Cruise.
Following the post, many rushed to congratulate Reid. One wrote, “OUR FREE WOMAN. The best is [yet] to come!” Another commented, “Congratulations!!! Hope you have the best day celebrating this new chapter.”
In March 2025, Reid filed for divorce from Lochte. Court documents allege Lochte used drugs around one of their children and drove while intoxicated, reports Just Jared. According to Yahoo Entertainment, Reid also indicated that the former Olympian reportedly cheated on her with his current girlfriend, Molly Gillihan. Lochte and Gillihan got engaged in June 2026 after 14 months of dating.
In an April email amid their divorce battle, Lochte lashed out at Reid, as per Page Six. He wrote, “Molly is a ten times better mother then [sic] you will ever be… Look at the offer I just sent to your lawyer and move on with your gold digging life.”
Reid, who is now a Florida real estate agent and podcast host, said finalizing the split was “incredibly empowering,” reports People. She told the outlet, “Divorce is never something you celebrate, but there is something incredibly empowering about surviving it and realizing you are stronger than you ever gave yourself credit for.”
