Reality TV star Collin Gosselin seems to be sending a message to his estranged mother, Kate Gosselin, ahead of the release of his memoir that is supposed to tell the dark sides of their family’s tale.
Little more than a decade ago, millions of people watched Collin and his seven siblings grow up on television. However, the 22-year-old has said he has told in his memoir things that people never saw, especially the darker sides.
Kate Gosselin’s son threw shade by reposting a report over her “spiraling” about his memoir
Collin had announced his book in June, following which there were reports that she is upset about the upcoming book. He has said that his book will detail “the hardest moments” of his life that weren’t shown on screen.
On his Instagram Stories Saturday, Collin reshared a story from the New York Post, whose headline read, “Kate Gosselin ‘spiraling’ ahead of estranged son Collin’s bombshell memoir: ‘She knows it’s about to hit the fan.’”
His mom’s face in the photo accompanying the report was blurred out. However, he shared a comment from a follower that read, “What’s done in darkness will always come to light.”
The memoir, titled “In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood”, is set to be released in October 2026.
Collin is one of eight children shared between Kate and ex-husband Jon Gosselin, who divorced in 2009. Between 2007 and 2017, Collin and his siblings’ upbringing aired on TLC, first as Jon & Kate Plus 8, and then, after the divorce, as Kate Plus 8.
Collin has reportedly not had a relationship with Kate since around 2016.
The book synopsis reads: “In the Shadow of Eight is the first account of a secret childhood lived in the gaps between the frames.”
The cover, unveiled on June 17, features an old photo of Kate covering his mouth.
DO YOU THINK COLLIN’S MEMOIR COULD REALLY EMBARASS HIS MOTHER KATE?
