New reports claim the Princess of Wales is choosing not to get caught up in the growing debate surrounding King Charles’ reported reconciliation plans.

According to Woman’s Day, Prince William and Kate Middleton are reportedly choosing to “disengage” from King Charles’ reported efforts to rebuild ties with the Sussexes. An insider claimed, “This is all deeply personal, but William and Kate can’t understand why so much effort and priority is being taken for Harry and Meghan.”
The source added that Kate is trying to stay above the conflict despite lingering hurt from past events. “Poor Kate’s had to endure so much… It’s hard for William to not kick off and give his father an ultimatum. The only thing stopping him is the certainty that Meghan and Harry will screw it up themselves,” the insider alleged, per Woman’s Day.
The reported tension comes as HELLO! revealed that Meghan Markle is expected to attend Invictus Games meetings at the Royal Hospital Chelsea alongside Prince Harry during her first UK engagement in six years. Harry is also reportedly scheduled to visit Birmingham Children’s Hospital as part of his longstanding work with WellChild.
However, the family’s travel plans are reportedly still uncertain. According to The Guardian, a source close to Harry claimed the prince was “distraught” after concerns over security arrangements complicated plans to bring Meghan and their children to Britain. The source added, “He’s looking at every option to try and get the family here safely and keep them safe when they’re on the ground.”
Meanwhile, Heat reports that Kate remains supportive of reconciliation between Harry and King Charles but is reportedly conflicted about Meghan’s involvement. An insider claimed, “Kate does want to see Harry… but there’s no denying that having Meghan there makes things worlds more complicated for her,” adding that “Kate has always risen above the drama,” even if the situation continues to cause her anxiety.
