Ariana Grande has moved on following her split from Ethan Slater after nearly three years together. The Grammy-winning singer is currently focusing on her Eternal Sunshine tour, which started in Oakland, California, on June 6.
Ariana Grande is reportedly focused on her career after Ethan Slater split
According to InStyle, Grande and Slater met on the set of Wicked, with their relationship becoming public in July 2023 after Grande’s split from Dalton Gomez and around the time Slater filed for divorce from Lilly Jay.
However, the Wicked co-stars ended their relationship amicably several months before the news became public recently. A source told People that the split was mutual and carefully considered, adding, “They are still friends and very supportive of one another. They have been quietly broken up for several months.”
According to E! News, Grande is finding peace by focusing on the positive aspects of her life. Despite her breakup, she is focused on her career, including new music, films, and her Eternal Sunshine tour, her highly anticipated return to the stage after seven years. Grande’s last major tour was the Sweetener World Tour in 2019, which included 100 shows across the globe, reports Billboard.
Sources say she is “very happy” and emotionally fulfilled after “being able to reconnect with fans after so many years,” reports Cosmopolitan. She is also celebrating career highs, including a Grammy win, the success of r.e.m. beauty, and her third time hosting Saturday Night Live.
Grande is also set to release her upcoming album Petal on July 31, which she described as “something that is full of life and growing through the cracks of something cold and hard and challenging,” reports Elle. She said the album is about “breaking up with all different kinds of negative attachments – whether it’s my own monsters in my own head, external voices, things that no longer serve me.”
In addition to music, Grande is also focusing on expanding her acting career. The singer-actress is set to join American Horror Story Season 13, premiering in September 2026, after previously starring in Scream Queens a decade ago, reports Variety. Talking about it, she told last year, “I think I’ll have a very tiny thing to do in it,” “but I’ll be grateful to be a part of it,” states E! News.
