The social media chatter quickly reignited speculation about Swift’s brief romance with Matty Healy. However, a new report suggested the overlapping celebrations had nothing to do with each other.

According to the Daily Mail, Swift reportedly hosted a private bachelorette gathering at her Rhode Island home ahead of her rumored wedding to fiancé Travis Kelce. Around the same time, Healy’s fiancée, model Gabbriette Bechtel, celebrated her own bachelorette party with friends in Las Vegas.
The coincidence quickly fueled online theories that the matching weekends were intentional. Some fans even suggested Bechtel had planned her celebration as a subtle jab at Swift because of the singer’s brief 2023 romance with The 1975 frontman. “I am a 75 fan, and living through the Taylor fallout for Matty was not an easy task. Why on earth or HOW on earth would they have weddings so close together? I get that they may not have known when each other were getting married, but this does not help the narrative….good lord,” a fan wrote.
Another added, “I never thought Taylor and Gabbriette would be celebrating their bachelorette parties at the same time. It’s just so funny. Once Matty says ‘I do’, we need to start the divorce betting.”
On X, a fan wrote, “I mean I knew Gabriette was obsessed with Taylor but dam. Of all the times to have your wedding after being engaged for years.”
A source, however, shut down that idea. “It’s a total coincidence the parties were the same weekend,” an insider told the Daily Mail. The source added, “Matty and Taylor were more of a hookup, so I don’t think anyone is thinking much of the other.”
The insider also dismissed rumors of any rivalry between the two women. “The two ladies celebrating their bachelorette parties would have nothing to do with one another and a complete coincidence,” the source told the Daily Mail. They added, “Taylor and Matty were never even that serious.”
Bechtel documented her Las Vegas getaway on Instagram. Photos showed her boarding a private jet in a vintage white Chanel suit before attending Dita Von Teese’s residency. Decorations reading “Mrs Healy” also appeared throughout the celebration.
Meanwhile, Swift’s reported gathering remained largely private. According to TMZ, guests were seen arriving at her Watch Hill mansion under heavy security. Fireworks later lit up the nearby Ocean House, prompting even more fan speculation online.
Swift and Healy briefly dated in 2023 following her split from Joe Alwyn. Their relationship ended after only a few weeks. Healy later became engaged to Bechtel in 2024 after less than a year of dating. For now, the only confirmed connection between the two celebrations appears to be the calendar.
