John Mayer and TikTok star Kat Stickler have reportedly called it quits after a romance that sparked plenty of curiosity among fans. The pair was first linked in late 2025, but a new report suggests their relationship quietly ended months ago.
While celebrity breakups often arrive with dramatic unfollows and cryptic social media posts, this one appears to have been far less complicated. According to an insider, the split was amicable, with both parties simply realizing they weren’t on the same page long-term.

An insider told Us Weekly that Mayer, 48, and Stickler, 31, “are no longer seeing each other and split a few months ago.” The source added that the relationship “was never going to be a serious thing.”
According to the insider, the romance ultimately “just fizzled out.” They explained, “They realized they have very different lifestyles but it was a lot of fun while it lasted, and are still friends.”
Busy schedules reportedly didn’t help matters either. Stickler, who shares daughter MK with ex-husband Mike Stickler, was said to be particularly cautious when it came to introducing a partner into her family life.
“Kat was always hesitant bringing her daughter around someone she was dating, and both of their busy schedules made it hard to navigate,” the source claimed.
The reported breakup may surprise some fans. Just months ago, another source told Us Weekly that the Grammy-winning musician was ready for something more serious. “John is at a point in his life where he is ready to settle down and is looking to seriously date,” the insider said in December 2025.
At the time, sources suggested the relationship was progressing, noting that Stickler had spent Thanksgiving weekend with Mayer and had even met some of his friends.
The pair first sparked romance rumors in October 2025 after they were spotted together on multiple outings in New York City. Despite the relationship’s reported end, it appears there is no bad blood between the two. Instead, this may simply be another case of timing not quite lining up.
