Joshua Jackson recently opened up about reuniting with Katie Holmes for their upcoming film, “Happy Hours,” on the Today show. The 47-year-old talked about their chemistry decades after sharing the screen with Holmes on the teen drama, “Dawson’s Creek.”
The star said their upcoming movie is a “beautiful love story” which will be in three parts.” “We spent so much intense time at a particular moment in our lives, and then we have maintained our friendship for all of these years, but we’ve never had a chance to be on camera together, and it was magic,” Jackson shared about their reunion.
“It was so nice to go back into that place,” he said. Jackson continued, “you never know until you’re actually doing the thing, but to still have chemistry with somebody after all of those years is nice.” While they have been friends, the actor admitted that working with her as a director was not easy as she was “bossing” him around, but he was prepared for it.
This is not the only time Jackson has opened up about his bonding with Holmes. “Katie and I are very close,” Joshua explained on Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s “Dinner’s on Me.” And although the stars don’t call regularly, they still feel connected. “Sometimes it’s not a weekly or monthly or even a half-yearly call,” he said, as per E! News. “But when you’re together—there’s always that, ‘I know, you know.’”
