Now, he reportedly has charges of two counts of battery against him. The incident of the Hollywood actor running away from reporters took place on Thursday, February 26, after his appearance in court due to the alleged assault case.

A video on X (formerly Twitter) captured Shia LaBeouf running away from paparazzi outside the New Orleans court on Thursday, February 26. The incident took place days after his arrest near the city’s French Quarter neighborhood during Mardi Gras. The “Transformers” actor allegedly assaulted some individuals in a bar fight. The Hollywood actor reportedly also used homophobic slurs during the arrest, per TMZ.
Per the news outlet, during his court appearance, the judge ordered Shia LaBeouf to start treatment for substance abuse and also undergo drug testing on a weekly basis. The New Orleans court judge also allegedly set the “The Tax Collector” actor’s bail at $100,000.
In the meantime, the video outside the court in New Orleans showed Shia LaBeouf avoiding the paparazzi and running away from the cameras after exiting the courthouse. Viewers could see the actor wearing a light-coloured jacket and jeans in the clip. He was also sporting a pair of black boots.
As the clip went on, viewers could see the Hollywood actor not turning back even once to the paparazzi as he kept running away from them. He left the reporters and the paparazzi behind as he crossed the street. The actor has yet to comment on his arrest.
