Exclusive Premiere: Chemicals Destroy Two Hearts in The Ivory’s ‘I’m a Mess’ Video

Shane Crump from Alesana has embarked on a new project called The Ivory, and Crave is proud to exclusively premiere the video for the first single “I’m a Mess” off his upcoming EP Gloom, set for a 6/30 release.

Fans will recognize Shane as the bassist for Alesana, as well as Sierra Kusterbeck (AKA Sierra Kay) from Florida rockers Versa. In the clip set to the piano-driven track, Shane and Sierra are a couple deeply in love, enjoying the euphoric haze of romance and immersion… until chemical distractions begin to unravel the heaven they’ve found in each other.

“This video portrays a loving relationship falling into a toxic one,” Shane tells CraveOnline. “One partner is more consumed by drugs and alcohol than the love that holds their relationship together, and eventually pushes the other further and further away. I feel like a good majority of people have been through a similar scenario in some fashion or form. “
