Measles Outbreak Puts Pressure On Arizona Health Officials Before Super Bowl

Super Bowl XLIX is nearly upon us, but so is something else.

A Measles outbreak that is linked to Disneyland patrons has made its way to Arizona (with seven confirmed cases), just in time for the Big Game. With tens of thousands of people headed to the state to watch the Super Bowl, health officials are very, very concerned that the virus will affect tourists who will then return to their home states, infecting others.

Multiple counties in the Phoenix area have asked residents who are not vaccinated to stay at home for three weeks if they feel they may have been exposed.

Are you planning on traveling to Arizona for the upcoming weekend? Mind your personal space and stay clean!

Thanks to NESN for the update on the outbreak as we approach the NFL’s Big Game.
