Beachlife 2014 Locks In Skrillex, A$AP Rocky, Wiz Khalifa

Recently announced as the latest addition to Australia’s summer music scene, Beachlife 2014 confirmed on Monday Skrillex, A$AP Rocky and Wiz Khalifa as the festival’s headline acts over two big days in early January.

Queensland’s Surfers Paradise will host the inaugural Beachlife as one of Australia’s most well recognised beaches gets set to turn into one of the summer’s biggest parties.

Skrillex will headline Saturday, January 4, bringing his “spectacular spaceship stage and state of the art lighting” to Australia for the first time. The recently announced Shore Thing headliner is also helping coordinate the festival and is bringing a few yet to be announced friends along to fill in Saturday’s lineup.

In addition to heading Perth’s first ever Origin NYE festival, A$AP Rocky and Wiz Khalifa will lead a packed Sunday lineup.

Cross Promotions and Fuzzy events, responsible for Listen Out and Parklife, are behind the rise of Beachlife and are expecting some 10,000 fans to fill Surfers Paradise.

“Partying on the beach is one of the best experiences a person can have,” said promoter Billy Cross.

“So many sites on the Gold Coast, like Metricon Stadium, have limited capacity. Having it on the beach creates a new venue that lets us sell tickets cheaper and create a great atmosphere for people. I think a lot of festivals will follow in our footsteps after this.

Beachlife looks to be the perfect replacement for the now defunct Summadayze and earlybird tickets (single day) are already available for $89 (plus booking fee). Two-day passes are also available, however get in quick as ticket prices will rise during the second and third releases.

More acts are expected to be announced in the near future.
