Stassi Schroeder claims tension with Beau Clark made them stronger
In an interview with PEOPLE, Stassi said the tensions between her and Beau had strengthened their marriage. She explained, “It oddly made him more protective of me because he’s just like, ‘Oh, I didn’t mean for this to blow up the way that it did.’”
Speaking at the 2026 Women in Film Honors at The Beverly Hilton, she explained that the disagreements reminded them of the importance of protecting their family.
She said, “And it forced us to really talk about so many things that we hadn’t talked about that it feels like…it’s not like us against the world, but we have something major to protect, and we always need to make sure to protect that thing over anything else. And I mean, of course you’re still going to see us disagree on camera, but our family comes first, that sort of thing.”
Stassi acknowledged that although the situation was traumatizing, it ultimately strengthened their marriage. On House of Stassi, the Vanderpump Rules alum and Beau navigated marital challenges. He repeatedly expressed unhappiness with his role as a stay-at-home dad and wanted to return to work.
Beau stepped away from his career in casting to focus on raising their children. During the show, he admitted that he had lost his sense of identity and wanted to return to work.
Despite those challenges, Stassi believes their marriage emerged stronger.
Stassi and Beau began dating in 2017 and legally married in 2020 before celebrating their Italian destination wedding in 2022. The couple shares two children, daughter Hartford Charlie Rose and son Messer Rhys. House of Stassi Season 1 premiered on Freeform on July 29, 2026, before becoming available to stream on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ the following day.
